Toni Fernandez is yet another exciting graduate from Barcelona’s La Masia academy but is facing something of a crossroads this summer.
Barcelona reportedly believe the 17-year-old has outgrown Barca Atletic but he’s still not quite ready for regular first-team minutes under Hansi Flick.
There’s been talk he could be sent out on loan, with Real Oviedo and Alaves keen, but a new report from Diario Sport claims Barcelona could sell him to Sevilla in a deal worth around three million euros.
Fernandez clearly has bags of talent but there’s no clear pathway into the first team at present. He is also out of contract in 2027, meaning some big decisions about his future need to be made.
