Real Madrid set sights on another Barcelona target after signing Bernardo Silva and Marc Cucurella
Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Alessandro Bastoni from Inter after completing deals for former Barcelona defender Marc Cucurella and Bernardo Silva.
Bastoni had appeared to be Barca’s top target to bolster their defence earlier this summer but talk of a move to the Camp Nou has cooled and now appears to have been ruled out.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Bastoni could still head to Spain and end up in the capital. The two clubs met recently for a legends match which saw Florentino Perez talk Bastoni with opposite number Beppe Marotta.
Inter want €70 million for Bastoni and are now waiting to hear what new Madrid coach Jose Mourinho thinks about the Italy international.
Mourinho is still settling back into life at the Santiago Bernabeu but will apparently have the final say over whether Madrid go for Bastoni or not.
Real Madrid look set for a busy summer after going trophyless again in 2025-26. Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries are also expected to complete transfers to the club in time for the new season.
