Will Barcelona regret letting Marc Casadó leave this summer?
As we approach the official start of the summer transfer window, a busy period of business awaits Barcelona, with important signings expected at the striker position and possibly at the back as well, but a few exits could also take place.
One player who looks set to leave is Marc Casadó, who according to several reports has decided to depart Camp Nou in search of more minutes elsewhere. Casadó had a wonderful start to the 2024-25 season but has failed to earn Hansi Flick’s trust since then, and his prospects look bleak for next season with Gavi’s return to form, Marc Bernal’s rise, and the overall depth in midfield.
We still don’t know where Casadó will end up, but there is serious interest from Atlético Madrid while an option to move to Saudi Arabia as part of João Cancelo’s permanent switch from Al Hilal to Barça is also on the table. But it does appear Casadó‘s time at Barça will come to an end, and it would be sad to see a clearly talented player leave the club in the next few months.
