FC Barcelona delegation are in Monaco ahead of the UEFA gala and Champions League group stage draw
Lionel Messi and Andrés Iniesta form part of the team which will attend the UEFA gala on Thursday afternoon
The FC Barcelona delegation arrived in Monaco on Thursday afternoon to attend the UEFA gala. The club representatives who have made the journey are president Josep Maria Bartomeu, Lionel Messi, AndrĂ©s Iniesta and Luis SuĂ¡rez, who landed in Nice then made the short journey to the Principality at 2.00pm CET.
Also joining the group are Andoni Zubizarreta and Carles Puyol as representatives of two of the club’s five Champions League successes in 1992 and 2009 respectively.
The gala begins at 5.30pm CET where the draw for this season’s Champions League group stage will be made, as well as the award for the Best Player in Europe for which Messi and SuĂ¡rez are nominees.
