First experience of the Dinamo Arena

Barça train at the venue for the final against Sevilla as they put the finishing touches to their preparations

Barça have had their first taste of the venue for Tuesday’s European Super Cup final against Sevilla. Luis Enrique’s side trained on Monday at the Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi which tomorrow will house some 54,000 fans, the majority ‘culers’ or ‘sevillistas’. The running track around the pitch has been covered with artificial turf and the two dugouts clearly bear the badge of each of the reigning European champions.

The session began on the field where the blaugranes will be making a record ninth appearance in the European Super Cup final. There was great expectation in the stands with journalists and officials following the open training session. There were even some cheers when the blaugranes ended their training with some shooting drills.

The session was their final one before the match on Tuesday which will be played at 8.45pm CET (10.45pm local time) at a stadium where Barça have never played before. The objective will be to lift the trophy for a record fifth time and take a step towards the challenge of six titles in season.
