Report: Marco Reus back on Barcelona radar to replace Pedro

The future of Pedro is set, and he is indeed leaving Barcelona. And his potential replacement is a guy we have heard of before.

According to a report from beIN Sports, the Catalan giants are allegedly in talks with Borussia Dortmund over the transfer of star midfielder Marco Reus, who has long been rumored to pack his bags and move to Catalonia. President Josep Maria Bartomeu and Dortmund officials are reportedly holding negotiations for over a week.

The 25-year-old German star would be the preferred man to replace Pedro, as he can do the job of a winger. However, because of his versatility and abilty to play a more central role, Reus could be used by coach Luis Enrique in the place of Andrés Iniesta. Reus is also a very vertical player who is fast and can counter-attack, which would add to what new signing Arda Turan can also bring off the bench.

What's difficult about any chance of a negotiation for Reus is his price. Since he extended his contract with Die Borussien, he won't leave for less than €60 million, sources say. For a guy with an extended list of injuries that don't guarantee him as a strong performer for the whole season, that's a heavy price, one that the Blaugrana might not be that interested in.

How about you, Blaugranes? Do you want Reus to join?
