FC Barcelona Women earned a draw against Athletic Club on a notoriously difficult ground. Barça took the lead in the first half but were eventually pegged back to level terms in the second period.

The home side should have taken the lead early on but Eli Ibarra spurned a golden opportunity. Moments later, Athletic were punished for missing their chance as Barça took the lead through Ane Bergara after good work from Melanie. Athletic continued to threaten but the score remained 1-0 to Barça going into the half-time break.

Shortly after the restart, Athletic eventually got their goal. On 56 minutes, Vanesa Gimbert tucked the ball into the net after combining well with Sandra Paños.

In what was an intense and physically exhausting game, the points were eventually shared, meaning that both sides remain unbeaten in the league
