The pick of the action from the Italian capital as the defending champions get their European campaign under way at the Stadio Olimpico

FC Barcelona were in the beautiful city of Rome for the opening game of the 2015/16 Champions League, in which they’ll be bidding to become the first back-to-back winners since the competition adopted its new format. A highly charged encounter ended one each, but it was the Catalans who had by far the most chances. Suárez converted a Rakitic assist to put the visitors in the lead after 21 minutes, but a tremendous long-range strike from Florenzi got the Serie A side back level just ten minutes later.
