Messi is the best there is and ever will be, says Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde

Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde has full of praise for Lionel Messi after the Argentine put in a sensational display to help beat Real Betis 5-0 on Sunday.

The win sees Barca extend their lead at the top of the table to 11 points, with Messi scoring twice in a sensational second-half display.

Speaking after the match Valverde was quick to praise the forward who he thinks will never be bettered.

“You have to enjoy him,” he said “We have been able to live his era.

”I have suffered because of him and I know what that is like. Now I can enjoy it.

”It is an event to watch him every day. He is the best player there is and there ever will be.”
