Pique ensures Barcelona get their Clasico guard of honour

Real Madrid couldn’t face giving Barcelona a guard of honour on Sunday night ahead of El Clasico but it’s OK because we have Gerard Pique who ensured the job got done.

The centre-back spoke to the crowd after the 2-2 draw with Real Madrid and explained to supporters that: “As we are a family, and they didn’t want to give us a guard of honour, I’ve asked our staff to make one.”

And so they did their own guard of honour instead:

Sunday’s draw means that Barcelona remain unbeaten and are another step closer to an Invincible season. The team play Villarreal on Wednesday and then finish off with fixtures against Levante and Real Sociedad.
