Rafinha Could Leave on Loan With a 1.5M Fee

Real Betis continue to pursue the midfielder

Rafinha could be leaving on loan again, this time to Real Betis. However, we are getting conflicting reports about whether it will go through or not.

Diario SPORT says Rafinha is “one step away” from joining Betis for a loan fee of 1.5 million euro. The Andalusians would pay his salary and pay a 500k bonus if they reach the UEFA Champions League spots. The negotiations are “very advanced,” according to SPORT, and “could be closed within the next few days.”

This deal would include a buy option (not obligatory) for 25 million euro. Rafinha is said to be looking for more playing time, and particularly, the chance to start more matches.

Meanwhile, Mundo Deportivo says Barcelona see Rafinha “closer to staying than leaving.” This report says there is no deal with Betis and they want a transfer exit, not a loan. They conclude that the chances of Rafinha playing for Betis this season are getting more remote. This report says that Betis are looking into ways they can convince Barça to part with the player.

Finally, we have information from RAC1. Gerard Romero says “there is no agreement with Betis for Rafinha,” because Barcelona want a transfer, not a loan. He goes on to warn that just because there is no agreement at the moment, doesn’t mean that there won’t be in the future, but that is how it is right now.
