Arturo Vidal and Ernesto Valverde Close to a Truce - Report

The player and the coach are hashing it out over complaints of a lack of playing time

Arturo Vidal played about 20 minutes in FC Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Inter Milan, and, according to Diario SPORT, he and Ernesto Valverde are close to reaching an understanding over playing time.

Vidal had sent angry emojis out over social media hinting that he was fed up with not playing, and publicly complained that he wanted to play more.

Before the match, Valverde reportedly had a private chat with Vidal in which the two hashed out their differences in opinion. Apparently, Vidal said that his complaints were not meant as a sign of disrespect. The conversation was said to be “cordial” and helpful.

There was another chat surrounding the situation that reportedly took place between Barcelona’s general manager, Pep Segura, and Fernando Felicevich, Vidal’s agent. Segura had told reporters that Vidal should ask for forgiveness for disrespecting teammates with his comments. Apparently, the two talked to make sure there would be no problems going forward.
