Mediapro offered €300m for Camp Nou naming rights
But an agreement could not be found
Mediapro confirmed this week that they offered 300 million euros for the naming rights for Barcelona’s Camp Nou stadium. The amount wasn’t enough apparently because Barcelona wanted Mediapro to drop an espionage complaint against their former president Sandro Rosell.
“We negotiated with Barcelona with the objective of [buying the naming rights], but talks broke down because of that demand. The plan was for 20 years of naming rights,” Roures told COPE.

How these talks ended is strange in of itself, but the amount for 20 years of naming rights is staggering. 300 million would have been half of Barcelona’s budget for the Espai Barca project. That project includes revamping Camp Nou and improving other aspects of Barcelona’s proximity.
