The former striker has talked up a move to the Camp Nou
Former Barcelona striker Patrick Kluivert says his son Justin “would love” to join Barcelona at some point in his career.
Kluivert Jr has openly admitted before that Barcelona are his “dream club” and is currently with Roma after moving from Ajax over the summer.
The 19-year-old has made just one Serie A start this season but scored his first goal for the club in their 5-0 Champions League win over Viktoria Plzen.
Dad Patrick said he’s doing well in Italy but is hopeful that one day in the future he will sign for the Catalan giants.
“Of course [Justin] would love to play for Barcelona one day,” he said.
”He expressed in the press his goal is to play for Barcelona.
”He’s fitting in quite well at AS Roma. He’s in a young team with experienced and non-experienced players.
”I think he needs to begin to play a lot more matches, make a lot of kilometres, and I hope at the end of the day he can sign for Barcelona because that’s also my dream, of course.
”If you see your son following in your footsteps, that’s a great feeling.”

Of course relations between Barcelona and Roma are not at the best following Malcom’s move to the Camp Nou over the summer.
Roma president James Pallotta was subsequently reported to have said he would never sell Kluivert to Barcelona.
