Ajax starlet Frenkie De Jong agrees deal with Barcelona | Sport
Frenkie de Jong is now a step away from Barcelona. The Blaugrana have taken a big leap forward in the push for the Ajax midfielder in recent weeks. De Jong has now given the OK to the club’s proposals, waiting for the two sides to reach an agreement for his fee. Barca wanted to put a reservation on the player, who has always shown his willing to play at Camp Nou, to try and negotiate a lower fee. Half the work is done.

Lionel Messi has been interviewed in Marca after the delivery of the fifth Golden Boot to the Blaugrana captain. The Argentinian emphasised the importance of his two great passions: family and football, as well as giving his take on Barça’s current situation, and speaking on subjects such as his family, the establishment, the Champions League and the system which he feels most comfortable playing in.

On Riqui Puig and Miranda he added: “They have been training with us for a whole and you see they are different players. The club did well in bringing them up to train with us.
