Barcelona complete signing of Jean Clair Todibo - report

The club are set to land another defender

Barcelona have reportedly finished up a deal with Toulouse defender Jean Clair Todibo that will bring him to the Camp Nou at the end of a season on a free transfer. The reported contract will be four years in length and give Todibo a chance to join the club at the start of the off-season and get a full pre-season under his belt.

There’s always the potential for a loan given the player’s young age and potential. Luckily Barcelona will have a decent amount of time to observe the youngster up close before making that decision.

Most transfers seem to be done so late in the summer that younger players have a tougher time settling into things. It often hurts their productivity early on and can create tension in the media given the player’s performances. Todibo will have the luxury of settling in under the radar before the madness of football at Barcelona truly swings into full gear.
