Griezmann says he know where he will play next season

The Frenchman has offered a vague update on his future

Antoine Griezmann’s future continues to make plenty of headlines, but the France international reckons he knows exactly where he will play next season.

The 28-year-old has already announced his departure from Atletico Madrid, but it is not entirely clear where he will turn up next.

Barcelona are the club who have been linked most regularly with the forward, but he is not giving anything away just yet.

“I know where I’m going to play next season,” he said. “I know where I’ll play in seven years, too, in Miami.”

Griezmann’s comments suggest a transfer has already been done, and there were reports recently Barcelona agreed a deal for the Frenchman back in November.

The forward’s release clause is reportedly set to drop to €120m on July 1, so it looks like we have a couple more weeks to wait before this transfer saga is finally over.
