PSG reject Rakitić, Bale proposals in potential Neymar deal - report
The French club do not accept Barcelona, Real Madrid proposalsna
Paris Saint-Germain has rejected both Barcelona’s and Real Madrid’s proposals for a swap deal for Neymar, according to L’Equipe. Madrid reportedly offered Gareth Bale plus 90 million for Neymar, while Barcelona offered Ivan Rakitić, Philippe Coutinho, and 40 million for the Brazilian.
The report says PSG are not interested in either Bale or Rakitić, and their primary motivator is a bigger transfer fee. Their goal is to recoup a great part or all of the 222 million they spent on bringing Neymar to France.
It also says that the Parisians are starting to see Neymar staying as the most realistic outcome this summer.
Neymar trained apart from the rest of his PSG teammates as he continues to recover from an injury that kept him out of Copa América 2019. It is expected that he will play his first preseason minutes with PSG soon.
Rumors suggest Barça are willing to part with Rakitić, but PSG, who were interested in him last year, are no longer in for him.
