What’s going on with his injury?

Ousmane Dembélé had taken his fair share of sniping in the media because of rumors that he had failed to report an injury, then traveled to Senegal, and then came back with a muscle that would keep him out of action for 5 weeks.

However, his agent, Moussa Sissoko disputes the facts of this story.

“It’s false. He did not travel to Senegal, he was in Rennes, in his mother’s house, I’m 100% sure,” he told Mundo Deportivo.

In his Instagram Stories the Barcelona winger had posted a picture from Rennes on Sunday and on Saturday around noon he was seen at the El Prat airport. It would be improbable that he had traveled to Senegal in between, just for a few hours.

What’s more, Sissoko says that before the match, his client felt pain in his ankle, but never in his thigh, which is where the injury was found.

“At the end of the match, he thought he had cramps in his thigh,” Sissoko says, which is what the Frenchman reportedly told the medical staff. According to the agent, it was not until Monday that Dembélé realized he was injured.
