Oriol Busquets and Juan Miranda

A clause in the contracts of Oriol Busquets and Juan Miranda allowed the pair to go out on loan in the summer transfer window, something that may have not happened otherwise, according to Diario SPORT.

The two negotiated for there to be a clause which said they would be allowed to go on loan if they did not make the first team squad, it is reported. Busquets moved to Twente and Miranda to Schalke 04 in the past transfer window.

The clause specified that the players would have to find teams that would give them opportunities and would not negotiate buy options. The idea is that these loans would allow players to gain experience and return stronger.

Other players who did not negotiate this option were less likely to be allowed to leave on loan.

The report also states that Barcelona B are confident they can make a push to achieve promotion out of the third tier and into the second tier of Spanish football. While Busquets and Miranda won’t be there, the team has plenty of other talents.
