The 16-year-old has made an impact at Barcelona this season

Spain boss Robert Moreno says Barcelona starlet Ansu Fati needs to keep his feet on the ground and stay patient at the Camp Nou.

The 16-year-old has made headlines this season by becoming Barca’s youngest ever goalscorer in La Liga after netting against Osasuna.

Moreno was asked about the teenager during his pre-match press conference and had some words of advice for the youngster.

“He has to keep his feet on the ground,” he said. ”He’s gone from youth player to playing at the Camp Nou in no time.

”He has to stay patient in every sense and take small steps.

”Ernesto will take good care of him, but it’s not a problem if he has to play in the academy or in [Victor] Valdes’ Juvenil A team. He has to take small steps.”

The Spain boss was talking ahead of his side’s Euro 2020 qualifiers against Romania and the Faroe Island. He also said he’d be willing to step down from his position if Luis Enrique wishes to return to the job at some point in the future.
