Neymar’s happiness is in Barcelona, says Dani Alves
The right-back thinks the PSG star will be able to return to the Camp Nou
Dani Alves has been talking about Neymar and thinks his compatriot’s ‘happiness’ is back at former club Barcelona.
Neymar wanted to return to the Camp Nou in the summer transfer window, but a move fell through with the two clubs unable to agree a deal for the Brazilian.
Speculation persists that Barcelona will come back for Neymar in 2020, and Alves thinks a return is likely if Neymar wants to head back to Spain.
“Regarding Neymar, I still think his happiness is in Barcelona,” he said.
“I believe he’d find happiness in continuing the success he had there a couple of years ago. When you are happy somewhere you try to go back to the place you were happy, and I think that’s what he tried to do.
”I’m sure if in the future he wishes to go back he will be able to.”

Neymar made his playing return for PSG in a 1-0 victory over Strasbourg, scoring an acrobatic stoppage-time winner. He followed that up with another late winner against Lyon but could not prevent PSG slipping to a shock 2-0 defeat to Reims on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, reports in France suggest PSG want to try and get Neymar to sign a contract extension at the club and continue his stay in the French capital.
