Ansu Fati not called up for Spain duty due to injury

Boss Roberto Moreno has spoken about the Barcelona star

Robert Moreno came out this week and made it clear why Barcelona’s Ansu Fati wasn’t called up to the Spanish national team. Spain’s manager said that the newly-pledged Fati wasn’t called up due to injury.

“He was in the preliminary squad, as were others. Everything that he’s doing is exceptional. I want to help him become [a great player]. He was injured, which is the most important [reason why he wasn’t called up]. For the sake of everyone, it’s best to try to be honest so that he keeps growing. Our criteria is varied.”

Fati has been a revelation for Barcelona. At only 16-years-old he’s already made an impact at Barcelona not many players can boast of. He also recently pledged his international allegiance to Spain just last month, making it all the more anticipated when he does make his senior team debut.
