It is Champions League time once again as Barcelona welcome Inter Milan to the Camp Nou for their second group fixture on Wednesday.

Ernesto Valverde’s side were held to a draw at Borussia Dortmund in their first fixture and need a win to get their European campaign up and running.

The club are still struggling with injuries to several key players, so let’s have a look at who might feature against Antonio Conte’s side.

Jordi Alba and Samuel Umtiti are still to return to training after injury so look set to sit this one out again for Barca.

The injuries mean Valverde is likely to named an unchanged defence in front of goalkeeper Marc-Andrre ter Stegen.

Clement Lenglet is suspended for the weekend’s clash with Sevilla so looks set to continue alongside Gerard Pique with Nelson Semedo and Junior Firpo the two full-backs.

Midfield

Barcelona’s best midfield looks to be Sergio Busquets, Frenkie de Jong and Arthur, and the trio could get the nod again on Wednesday.

However, the three players also started Saturday’s win over Getafe which means Valverde could also opt to freshen up his starting XI.

Arturo Vidal, Carles Alena, Ivan Rakitic and Sergi Roberto are all options to come into the midfield if he does decide to make changes.

Doubts remain over whether Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembele will return from injury against Inter.

The duo took part in some of the training session on Monday, but the club will not want to risk either and they may have to settle for a place on the bench.

There’s no word on Ansu Fati coming back from his knock either, which means Luis Suarez, Antoine Griezmann and Carles Perez could well continue in attack.

Possible XI: Ter Stegen; Semedo, Pique, Lenglet, Junior; De Jong, Busquets, Arthur; Perez, Suarez, Griezmann.
