Lenglet: Dembele angry about injury, Todibo ready to shine

FC Barcelona v Villarreal CF - La Liga

The defender has been talking all things Barcelona

Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet has given an interview to RAC1 and talked about team-mates Ousmane Dembele and Jean-Clair Todibo.

The centre-back reckons that Dembele is really frustrated at his latest injury setback after working hard in pre-season to get in good shape for the new campaign.

“Dembélé was very angry and disappointed with the new injury. He had a very good preseason, with a lot of work, before and after training, he was prepared to show another version of himself and then he was injured again.

“Now it’s better, and I would like him to show his quality, because we know he has a lot of quality, and he deserves to play with continuity at Barça.”

Lenglet also spoke about Todibo who looks set to replace him in the starting XI for Sunday’s La Liga clash with Sevilla at the Camp Nou due to suspension.

The 19-year-old is yet to start for the club this season, but Lenglet says he is ready to make the step up into the first team.

“He has been with us for almost a year. He has quality and strength, he is ready. He has made a very good preseason, he was waiting for his moment and now he has a game to prove his worth.”

Lenglet should feature for Barcelona in Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Inter and reckons the Serie A side will provide Barca with a “good test” at the Camp Nou.
