Messi says some people at Barca don’t want Neymar back

The captain thinks a deal is difficult to do

Lionel Messi has been talking about the possibility of Barcelona bringing Neymar back to the club and reckons there are people at the Camp Nou who don’t want to see the Brazilian return.

Neymar wanted to quit Paris Saint-Germain for Barcelona over the summer, but the Catalan giants were unable to agree a deal with the French champions.

It remains to be seen if Barca will renew their interest in 2020, but Messi reckons any deal to bring him Neymar will be tough to pull off.

“With Neymar, we continue to speak a lot.

”We still have a WhatsApp group which also has Luis Suarez. It was difficult for him to return, but here we are.

”Many members and people at the club didn’t want him to come back, although in a sporting sense it would have been great. [However] the other side is understandable. It’s a little complicated.”

Neymar has been doing the business on the pitch for PSG since being restored to the side, scoring four goals in five appearances. However, he is currently out injured again after picking up a problem on international duty with Brazil.
