Transfer Rumors: Barcelona wishlist for next season revealed

Emerson, Dani Olmo, and Fabián Ruiz are being considered

Real Betis’s Emerson, Dinamo Zagreb’s Dani Olmo, and Napoli’s Fabián Ruiz are on Barcelona’s wishlist for next season, according to information from ESPN.

Barça are already looking towards the end of the season even as this term is only in its beginning stages. A right-back is considered one of the priorities to reinforce the squad.

Emerson, who was bought in a joint venture between Barcelona and Betis, has always been a player the Catalans are keenly interested in. The Brazilian has been described as being a loan player, but other sources call it a co-ownership. Whatever the case may be, there were rumors the team was ready to bring him in if Nélson Semedo was used as a counterweight to the Neymar offer last summer.

According to this report. Barça has an option in place to sign him from Betis for 6 million in 2021, although the transfer could be pushed up to next year.

Olmo, a winger, is known to Barcelona because he was at La Masia for a few years but left aged 16 to Zagreb. He’s been impressing for the Croatian side, as well as youth level for Spain. Teams such as Tottenham Hotspur and Atlético Madrid were said to be interested in him the previous transfer window, but it seems they were put off by his 40 million euro price tag.

Finally, Ruiz is a midfielder who was first linked to Barcelona by Mundo Deportivo. This new report confirms those original rumors that Éric Abidal watched the player recently. Barça’s midfield is currently overbooked, but with Arturo Vidal and Ivan Rakitić likely to be heading out next summer, Ruiz may have a spot.
