Carles Alena discusses future after returning to action
The midfielder has a decision to make
Carles Alena spoke about his future after finally getting on the pitch again for Barcelona during Saturday’s win over Real Mallorca.
The midfielder made just his second appearance of the season, and his first since the opening day, when he replaced Ivan Rakitic on 72 minutes at the Camp Nou.
Alena is widely expected to leave on loan in the January transfer window but is in no rush to make a decision.
“We have to wait. I don’t want to think about any team now but the important matches that are coming now. Then, we will sit down and see the best solution for me,” he said.
“The decision will be totally mine. I have a great relationship with Abidal and Bartomeu and I’m sure they will let me choose what is best for me.”

Recent reports have suggested Alena could head to Getafe. President Angel Torres talked up a transfer this week, while Real Betis and Getafe have also been linked.
