Barca could include Wague or Abel Ruiz in Rodrigo deal - report
Time is running out in the transfer window
It’s the final week of the January transfer window which means the rumors are coming thick and fast, and the latest update suggests Barca could be willing to include a player in a deal to land Rodrigo from Valencia.
Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona and Valencia are struggling to agree a fee for Rodrigo. Los Che apparently want €50 million which is too steep for Barca, although they would be willing to include either Moussa Wague or Abel Ruiz in a deal.
Wague is behind Nelson Semedo and Sergi Roberto in the pecking order at the Camp Nou and could tempt Valencia who are short of options at right-back.
The 21-year-old apparently already has a loan offer from French side Nice but would prefer to stay in La Liga. Valencia are without Cristiano Piccini due to injury, have not been impressed by Thierry Correia and have been forced to use midfielder Daniel Wass in defence.
Ruiz is said to be another option and has already been linked with a move away in January in order to secure some regular first-team playing time. Barca reckon Valencia could also go for Ruiz as they will need a striker if Rodrigo does go.
