Barca to sign Bruno Fernandes as part of Rodrigo deal?
Is this the shock signing we were told to expect?
Barcelona’s attempts to sign Rodrigo from Valencia took a surprising new twist on Tuesday with a report claiming the club could use Sporting’s Bruno Fernandes in the deal.
Super Deporte bring us the most surprising rumor of the January window yet by reporting a complicated transfer just got a whole lot more complicated and could turn into a “three-way operation.”
Bascially, Valencia have already decided they want Nelson Semedo as part of the Rodrigo deal and also kind of fancy Sporting midfield Fernandes, who has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.
However, the report reckons Barcelona were already negotiating for Fernandes, because they wanted him for next season but he could now become part of the Rodrigo deal.
The plan would be for Fernandes to move to Valencia on loan for the rest of the season, with Nelson Semedo going too, and he would then come back to Barcelona in the summer.
Barcelona would then finally be able to land Rodrigo.
The Valenci striker does appear close to a move. He was absent from training on Tuesday morning and is believed to be in Barcelona getting his knee checked out by Dr Ramon Cugat.
