The transfer is heating up

The president of Valencia CF is said to be in Barcelona to negotiate the transfer of Rodrigo to the Catalan club, according to a report. The Valencian daily Superdeporte says Anil Murthy is in Barcelona ready to strike a deal, though until this moment, los che have rejected all incoming offers.

Barcelona reportedly proposed including Moussa Wagué and Abel Ruiz in a deal for Rodrigo. They also were said to have offered a loan deal in which there was no mandatory purchase option for the forward, but a penalty would be incurred if the player was returned at the end of the loan. In both cases, it is said Valencia turned Barça down. But it seems it was not a definitive no, because negotiations seem to be heating up.

Both of these scenarios were intended to ease the financial burden of buying Rodrigo, but Valencia for that very reason are not interested. They are said to want a guarantee that they are getting the full 60 million that they believe he is worth.

Barça want another forward after a long-term injury to Luis Suárez.
