Bruno Fernandes doesn’t look like he’s going to Valencia either

FC Barcelona’s talks with Valencia have reached an impasse. New reports say that once again, the two parties have failed to agree on a deal over the transfer of Rodrigo.

Yesterday, the clubs reportedly met to try to hammer out an agreement over the player, but no deal was struck. Today, the two parties once again talked. The new offer from Barcelona reportedly included another team and another player. Barcelona would have signed Bruno Fernandes from Sporting CP, sent him on loan to Valencia, and then Rodrigo would go to Barça on loan. Fernandes by all accounts is on his way to Manchester United.

The Catalans reportedly thought the price was just too high for the player, and they did not want to agree to a loan with a mandatory purchase clause.

Other options are now being explored as Barcelona try to sign a replacement for the injured Luis Suárez. The chances of Rodrigo coming to the Camp Nou have plummeted.
