The GOAT picked up three assists against Betis

After a painful exit from the Copa del Rey at the hands of Athletic Club, Barcelona were determined to get back on their feet, play the brand of football Quique Setien has implemented since arriving in January and grab the crucial three points to continue playing piggyback with Real Madrid in the table. But the mission was not a walk in the park for the Catalans, as they went up against a fierce Real Betis side who had home advantage. The Benito Villamarin was draped in green and white with supporters chanting the club’s anthem from the heart, while music, lights and flags captivated the audience.

Yet, Setien’s men stepped onto the pitch like warriors and played entertaining football with soul. And even against all the odds, Barcelona were able to make two strong comebacks and end the game as convincing victors.

As alway Leo Messi blossomed in the Blaugrana kit; however not in front of goal, but as the man behind them. The Argentine was the quarterback of the night, setting up all three goals and continuing to be the player with the most assists in LaLiga, 11 to his name, while De Jong, Busquets and Lenglet showed the world they can score too, helping the team claim the three golden points.

Setién promised entertaining football, and that is exactly what we are getting so far. Here’s to more entertainment for the future
