Lenglet and Umtiti at risk of missing El Clasico
The duo are one booking away from a ban
Barcelona defenders Clement Lenglet and Samuel Umtiti are both at risk of missing El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu as they are one yellow card away from a suspension.
Lenglet missed Saturday’s win over Getafe after being sent off against Real Betis but could also miss the trip to Madrid as he is on four bookings and one more will rule him out.
The Frenchman’s absence meant compatriot Umtiti started against Getafe and picked up his fourth booking of the season, leaving him one yellow away from a ban.
Barcelona play Eibar next in La Liga, at the Camp Nou on Saturday, and if either Lenglet or Umtiti are booked in that game they will sit out the match at the Bernabeu.
Quique Setien is also likely to be without Jordi Alba for the trip to Madrid, after he picked up a groin strain against Getafe, and will not want see his defensive options reduced further.
Gerard Pique should at least by safe for the game against Real Madrid. The centre-back has picked up 10 yellow cards in La Liga already but served a ban recently against Betis.
