Willian Jose and Loren Moron have been discarded

Barcelona narrow search down to two

Barcelona’s hunt for a striker continues to make headlines with RAC1’s Gerard Romero reporting Willian Jose and Loren Moron have been discarded.

Getafe’s Angel Rodriguez and Alaves striker Lucas Perez remain options and look to be more in Barca’s price range, with the Catalan giants keen not to spend big.

Angel has a release clause of €10m, while Lucas Perez is thought to be available for around €20m.

Barcelona offered €15m for Loren Moron

Meanwhile, Marca report that Barcelona have offered Real Betis €15m for striker Loren Moron.

Yet Betis really don’t want to sell the 26-year-old and have told Barca the only way they can sign him is to pay his €40m buyout clause.

Roger Marti is Abidal’s choice

Over at Mundo Deportivo the word is that Levante forward Roger Marti is Eric Abidal’s choice to replace Ousmane Dembele.

Marti has 10 goals in 22 games and a buyout clause of €30m, although Barcelona seem to think they could get him for just €12m.

The Levante forward was not originally on Barca’s list but seems to have gained popularity after Willian Jose was ruled out.

Real Madrid interested in Lautaro Martinez

And finally today we end with news that Real Madrid are reportedly interested in Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez.

Barcelona have been heavily linked with Martinez and are expected to try and sign him in the summer transfer window.

Yet TyC Sports reckon Real Madrid are thinking about paying his €111m release clause in the close season.
