The Brazilian thinks the striker is ‘a forward for the future’

Felipe Melo has been getting excited about the possibility of Lautaro Martinez joining Barcelona from Inter Milan in the summer.

The Catalan giants continue to be heavily linked with a move for the 22-year-old who is said to be keen to link up with Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou.

Former Inter man Melo says he knows Lautaro well and thinks he could form part of a dream front line at Barcelona.

“I know him because I support Inter in Italy, at 32 I realised the dream of playing there even thoughI had been at Juventus previously,” he said.

“Lautaro is a player who, in addition to working a lot for the team even without the ball like Gabriel Jesus, scores many goals.

“He is a forward for the future for me. He has strength and power and I like him.

“I would like to see Lautaro at Barcelona, who now has Suarez who is among the best strikers in the world. Imagine those two, plus Messi and Neymar.”
