Papers: Barca’s Pjanic deal in danger
A look at the top headlines
Barcelona’s move for Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic is once again headline news on Saturday, with the latest report claiming the deal is in danger.
Sport report that Arthur’s refusal to go to Juve has really slowed the transfer down and allowed Paris Saint-Germain to decide they want a piece of the action.
The problem seems to be that Juventus don’t really want any of the other players Barca are offering which means the Catalans might have to try and change Arthur’s mind.
Pjanic is still really keen on moving to the Camp Nou, while Juve are happy for him to leave and fancy bringing in Jorginho, a favourite of Maurizio Sarri.
Yet Pjanic doesn’t want to go to England and instead is being tipped to head to PSG, particularly if Massimiliano Allegri replaces Thomas Tuchel at the helm.
Allegri was able to get the best out of Pjanic at Juve, and the midfielder would be happy to play for his old boss again.
