Pedri tipped to become ‘a superstar’ at Barcelona
The youngster will arrive in the summer from Las Palmas
Las Palmas boss Pepe Mel is tipping Pedri to become a “superstar” at Barcelona and reckons he could “be big” in European football for the next decade.
The Spanish champions announced in September that the 17-year-old is due to arrive at the Camp Nou in July from Las Palmas.
Mel has coached the teenager this season and has been explaining just how highly he rates the talented youngster.
“I told [Jose Miguel Lopez] Catalan and [Angel] Haro before Ruben Castro’s testimonial to take a chance on this kid, who was going to go to Barcelona,” he said.
“This boy is a superstar and he is going to be big in European football for the next 10 years. He was signed by Barcelona and now we will see what happens.”

Pedri is reportedly set to be given a chance to prove himself in pre-season at Barcelona, and the club will then decide whether to keep him or send him out on loan.
