Erik ten Hag talks Luis Suarez to Ajax rumors

The Eredivisie side have spoken about the striker

Erik ten Hag has addressed speculation that Ajax are interested in bringing Luis Suarez back from Barcelona this summer.

The Uruguay international is one of several players who seem to have an uncertain future at the club following Barcelona’s Champions League exit.

Ajax have been linked with making an offer for Suarez, but Ten Hag reckons it’s probably not happening.

“None of that is true. You are always looking for ways to strengthen your team. Of course I talked about it with Marc, but at the moment it is not an issue.”

“If he wants to come back himself, please. You have players that you get as replacements and you have players in the category that they give an incredible boost to the team. Suárez falls in that category.”

There is lots of speculation currently that Suarez is no longer wanted at Barcelona, but it’s not clear if he will leave. His contract runs until next summer and will renew if his plays 60% of Barca’s games in 2020-21.
