The 18-year-old has come in for praise

Spain boss Luis Enrique has been full of praise for Barcelona forward Ansu Fati after including the youngster in his latest squad.

Fati makes the cut along with Barcelona team-mates Sergi Roberto and Sergio Busquets.

Spain play Netherlands in a friendly on Wednesday and then face Switzerland and Germany in the Nations League in the team’s final games of 2020.

Fati has already made an impact at international level, becoming Spain’s youngest goalscorer with a strike against Ukraine, and Lucho is clearly a big fan.

I have seen him very well, he never ceases to amaze me. No one would think that he is an 18-year-old player. He interprets game situations very well, he knows how to play in relation to his teammates, play in one or two touches, he has goals, defensive work ... . You have to take care of him and develop all his skills as a person and as a player. What I see on the field I like, I see many possibilities.

The Barca trio will come up against Frenkie de Jong in their first match but won’t face Marc-Andre ter Stegen when they take on Germany. The goalkeeper has been left out of the squad by manager Joachim Low as he’s only just back from injury.
