The left-back could be on his way

Junior Firpo’s future at Barcelona is once again the subject of speculation with the left-back still struggling for minutes at the Camp Nou.

The 24-year-old has only managed two substitute appearances under Ronald Koeman, featuring in the Champions League wins over Ferencvaros and Juventus.

Barcelona are now “working on selling” Junior in the January transfer window as he is not in Koeman’s plans and Inter have been mentioned again by Sport.

The Nerazzurri were linked with the defender in the summer but could renew their interest when the transfer window reopens this winter.

Barca’s financial situation has been well-documented and means the club will be keen to offload players in January, particularly as they still want to bring in Eric Garcia and Memphis Depay.

Junior may just be keen to leave Barca to revive his stalling career and could be set to follow Arturo Vidal in swapping the Camp Nou for the San Siro.
