This Wednesday, in Vallecas, Leo Messi has surpassed Barça legend, Josep Samitier, in the list of FC Barcelona players with the most matches played in the history of the Copa del Rey. Messi now has 76 appearances in the competition, one more than the player of exactly a century ago.

Barcelona are targeting Valencia left-back Jose Luis Gaya, according to a report on Catalan television channel Esport 3. Barça have supposedly already been in contact with Valencia to sound out the terms of a possible deal for the Spain defender.
