Dest in contention to face Granada in Copa del Rey
The defender’s been back in training
Sergino Dest was back in Barcelona training on Monday and looks set to be in contention to face Granada in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.
The right-back has been struggling with a thigh problem in recent weeks and hasn’t played since the final of the Spanish Super Cup.
Oscar Mingueza has continued to deputize at right-back in his absence but now faces real competition for a place with Dest and Sergi Roberto back in action.
Roberto made his return after two months out as a substitute in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Athletic at the Camp Nou.
Barca now face another away fixture and Ronald Koeman may well pick a strong team to face Granada with a place in the semi-finals of the competition up for grabs.
