The Frenchman’s renewal is a priority

Barcelona are reportedly ready to offer Ousmane Dembele a new contract at the club that would keep him at the Camp Nou until 2025.

The Frenchman’s current deal expires next summer but Barca want Dembele all signed up before the end of the season, according to Sport.

If Dembele does not renew in the coming months then the club are willing put him up for sale to avoid losing him for free next year when his contract expires.

Dembele is thought to be keen to stay but it’s not clear if he’s too happy about the pay-cut he may have to accept due to Barca’s financial constraints.

Barca are aware there is interest in Dembele which may complicate matters. Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus are all said to be keen on the forward.

Dembele came close to a loan move to Old Trafford last summer, while the report claims Barca “suspect” Juve’s interest is one of the reasons why Dembele has delayed talks about his future in the past.
