Changes in attack are expected this summer

Memphis Depay’s future has been the subject of speculation all season but there is reportedly now total agreement at Barcelona that the club will try to land the Dutchman again.

Barca have “no doubts” that the Lyon captain is worth betting on and will go for the 27-year-old no matter what happens with Erling Haaland, according to Diario Sport.

Depay’s arrival will also mean it’s the end of the road at Barcelona for Martin Braithwaite as the Dutch star will take the forward’s place in the squad.

Braithwaite’s been at Barcelona since the infamous emergency transfer in February 2020 when the Catalans triggered his €18 million release clause.

The Denmark international has gone on to make 43 appearances for Barca, scoring eight times, but the report suggests he will be off in the summer to make room for Depay.

Braithwaite’s always been open about how thrilled he is to be at the Barca and his determination to succeed which has been refreshing to see.

Yet he’s also been regularly with an exit and could be offloaded in the summer with the Premier League a possible destination for the 29-year-old.
