Barcelona handed Sergio Busquets injury boost
The midfielder was taken off against Atletico
Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets was back in training on Sunday morning despite suffering a nasty facial injury against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
Busquets had to be taken off after 30 minutes at the Camp Nou following a clash with Stefan Savic that left the midfielder bleeding.
The club subsequently confirmed that Busquets had suffered a “facial contusion with an upper maxilla fracture and is progressing favorably.”
However, he was back to work with the rest of his team-mates on Sunday as the players undertook a recovery session. Barca confirmed Busquets was present but did “specific work.”
According to AS, Busquets has not yet been ruled out of Tuesday’s clash against Levante despite the injury. It’s thought the midfielder could be able to play as long as he wears a protective mask.
