But the coach is expected to take the Germany job

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has reportedly made Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick his top target to replace Ronald Koeman as first-team coach.

According to RAC1’s Gerard Romero, Laporta has been in touch with Flick who was “receptive” to the approach and has not yet reached an agreement with Germany.

It has been widely reported that Flick will replace Joachim Low as the coach of the national team after the Euros but it seems a deal is not yet signed, sealed and delivered.

This is not the first time Barca have been linked with Flick. ESPN reported a similar story a week ago but claimed the Catalans had been told the coach was “close” to agreeing a deal with Germany.

Meanwhile, Joan Laporta promised big changes at the Camp Nou last night at the Festa de L’Esport Català gala.

The president lamented the “incomprehensible way” Barca had missed out on the title and added he will make decisions next week “to build a more competitive team next year in order to win the Champions League and La Liga.”
