Barcelona continue to prioritize signing free agents in the transfer market, with Sergio AgĂĽero, Memphis Depay, and Eric GarcĂa, in addition to Wijnaldum, set to sign for free.
Only the last details of the transfer are said to be left to go over.
Rumors suggest that the signing of Wijnaldum and Depay, two players whom Ronald Koeman knows from his time coaching the Netherlands national team, are independent of the manager’s continuity.
Bayern Munich were said to be in the running to land Wijnaldum, but in the end, the player preferred Barcelona and no concerted offer came from the Germans.
