Barca to lose Marc Guiu for a month after Spain call-up
The youngster is heading off on international duty
Barcelona are set to lose teenage striker Marc Guiu for a month due to international duty with Spain.
The 17-year-old stole all the headlines at the weekend after coming off the bench to score the winner against Athletic on his first-team debut.
It was a great moment for Guiu but he’s now going to have to focus on Spain duty after being called up to the Under-17 World Cup squad.

Guiu isn’t the only Barca youngster in the squad for the tournament in Indonesia. Pau Cubarsi, Hector Fort, Pau Prim, Marc Bernal, Andres Cuenca, Quim Junyent Casanova and Juan Hernandez Torres are also on the list.
Spain are due to take on Canada, Mali and Uzbekistan in the group stages of the tournament which kicks off on November 10 and runs until December 2.
We could still see Guiu in action before he heads off on World Cup duty. The striker has been included in the Barcelona squad to take on Shakhtar on Wednesday in the Champions League.
