The defender’s future remains uncertain

Barcelona are said to be “reluctant” to let Mikayil Faye leave the club this summer amid interest from FC Porto.

The Portuguese side are believed to be willing to offer Barcelona around 15 million euros for the defender, but a decision on his future has not yet been made.

Barcelona did want to include a buy-back option in any deal, something that Porto are not keen on, which may potentially scupper the deal.

The Catalans are also eager for Hansi Flick to take a check on Faye during pre-season, with there being a chance he could make his debut next season for the first team.

Barcelona also think other offers, potentially higher than Porto’s, could arrive in the summer window and look to be in no rush to make a decision.

It’s not clear yet what Faye thinks about the situation, but there have been claims he was disappointed not to debut last season and is now considering his future at Barca.
